§ Mr. BRIDGEMANIn the period named orders for the British Navy were placed for eight cruisers, of which four were allocated to the Royal Dockyards and four to contract; twelve submarines were ordered of which two were allocated to Dockyard construction and ten to contract. In addition nine destroyers, a repair ship, a depot ship, two minesweepers and four gunboats were ordered, all of these being built by contract.
