HC Deb 20 November 1928 vol 222 c1553W
Captain GARRO-JONES

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the railway station of Neyland, Pembrokeshire, has reached a degree of dilapidation which is not only unsightly but dangerous, and that gaps between the platform and the train footboards are a source of danger to passengers and staff; and whether he will make inquiry with a view to compelling the Great: Western Railway Company to make an improvement in the facilities and accommodation provided at this point in their system?

Colonel ASHLEY

I am informed by the railway company that, as the accommodation at Neyland Station is considerably in excess of requirements, it is their intention shortly to demolish portions of the buildings. They also state that the condition of the buildings is not dangerous, and that there is nothing exceptional in the construction of the platform or of the rolling stock which serves it.
