HC Deb 20 November 1928 vol 222 c1566W
Sir O. MOSLEY

asked the Minister of Health, whether in view of the hardship caused to an old age pensioner by the withdrawal of his book on entering a Poor Law institution for medical or surgical treatment and the delay in issuing a new book on his discharge, he will consider the advisability of instructing the pension officer on the withdrawal of the old age pensioner's book to issue an emergency form to the master of the institution in which the pensioner is an inmate, such form to be handed to the pensioner on discharge from the institution and to be available for one payment, and that on receipt of the emergency form at the pension issue office a new book be immediately forwarded to the pensioner?

Mr. SAMUEL

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave to the same question asked by the hon. Member for Newcastle-on-Tyne, East (Mr. Connolly) on 15th November.
