§ Sir W. MITCHELL-THOMSONThe British Broadcasting Corporation have a scheme for the replacement of their existing stations by a smaller number of high-power regional stations. They inform me that they propose that one of these regional stations should be located in South Wales to replace the Cardiff and Swansea stations. They do not propose to establish a station in North Wales. With regard to programmes, the Corporation state in their annual report for 1927 that, "In all parts of the country, whether in England, Scotland, Ireland or Wales, full respect has been paid to national and local sentiment and tradition, and local resources have been drawn upon where suitable."
