GILMOURThe figures determining weighted population (calculated on the actual population at the date of the Census of 1921) in the case of the large burghs are given in Columns 4, 5 and 6 of the table on pages 20 and 21 of the White Paper (Cmd. 3135). I do not think that any useful purpose would be served by circulating similar details for the Counties. When the particulars for the standard year are available I shall consider whether it would be useful to circulate a revised table based on the estimated population of that year.
