§ Mr. HASLAMasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether his attention has been called to the Report of the Development Commissioners respecting the restriction of free distribution of technical publications by the agricultural departments, the research institutes, the advisory centres, and the colleges aided by Government grants; and whether, in view of the importance of securing co-ordination and contact between scientific workers, he will consider the desirability of permitting a more extensive free distribution?
Mr. SAMUELMy attention has been drawn to the recommendation in question. I understand that the matter is being considered by the responsible Departments, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Board of Agriculture for Scotland.
