§ Sir W. de FRECEasked the Chanoellor of the Exchequer the number of people who were drawing benefit at the latest available date under each of the following Acts: National Insurance (Health) Act; Widows', Orphans and Old Age Contributory Pensions Act; Unemployment Insurance Acts; War Pensions Act and the Ministry of Pensions Act; Old Age Pensions Acts; Education Acts; Acts relating to reformatory and industrial schools; Inebriates Act; Public Health Acts so far as they relate to hospitals and treatment of disease, maternity, and child welfare works; Housing of the Working Classes Act; Acts relating to the relief of the poor; Unemployed Workmen Act; Lunacy Acts; and Mental Deficiency Act?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLI would refer the hon. Member to the annual Returns relating to Public Social Services, the last of which was published as Parliamentary Paper No. 108 of Session 1927, in which he will find such information as is available on the subject.
