HC Deb 13 November 1928 vol 222 cc708-9W
Mr. BECKETT

asked the Minister of Transport how many motor-car accidents between 1st November, 1927, and 1st November, 1928, have been due to the practice of leaving motor cars and lorries in a stationary position facing oncoming traffic?

Sir V. HENDERSON

I have been asked to reply to this question. There are no available statistics on the subject. I may add, however, that as respects the Metropolitan Police District, I am informed that such accidents are probably quite few in number, except perhaps in one or two localities such as the vicinity of Covent Garden.
