HC Deb 12 November 1928 vol 222 c515W
Dr. LITTLE

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware that salaries paid to officers in the Post Office medical service are lower than in any other Government Department and that it is the only Department in which unequal rates of payment as between men and women obtain, and if he proposes to take suitable action in the matter?

Viscount WOLMER

The salaries of the officers in question were recently the subject of a claim before the Industrial Court, who have referred the matter back to the parties for reconsideration. Pending further developments, I cannot make any statement in the matter.
