HC Deb 24 May 1928 vol 217 cc2082-3W
Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Home Secretary the annual cost of the Industrial Museum in Horseferry Road, Westminster; on what conditions and between what hours it is open to visitors; when it was opened; and what has been the daily average attendance?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

A sum of 11,000 is provided in the Home Office Estimates. The Museum is open to the public from 10 to 1 each week-day morning and also from 2 to 4 on Saturdays. Arrangements for visits by special parties at other times can be made through the Chief Inspector of Factories. The Museum was opened on 5th December last, and since then over 5,000 people have visited it, making a daily average of about 35.
