HC Deb 23 May 1928 vol 217 c1910W
Sir R. GOWER

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he proposes to suggest shall be taken at the June meeting of the Council of the League of Nations to enable a juridical decision to be given on the pending claims of the Hungarian optants against Rumania, either by filling up the vacancy on the Mixed Arbitral Tribunal, as provided by the Treaty of Trianon, or by any other procedure?

Sir A. CHAMBERLAIN

It is clearly impossible for me to make any further statement on this matter until the Council of the League has received the replies which the two interested Governments were requested to return to the recommendation unanimously adopted by the Council at the last meeting.
