was £18,800,000. The total for 1927 was £21,300,000. In addition, gold bullion. and coin were imported from the Union to the value of £31,500,000 in 1926 and £25,600,000 in 1927. These figures represent the value of the goods c.i.f. at United Kingdom ports. They do not include the diamonds shipped from South Africa, the value of the exports of which to this country in 1926 were shown in the South African accounts as £9,200,000; the corresponding figure for 1927 is not yet available.
