§ Mr. LEEasked the Minister of Transport. whether he is aware that the action of his Department, in refusing consent in certain cases to the enlargement of existing power stations, or in delaying the sanction for long periods, has resulted in many stations being inadequate to deal with the demands of the past winter, and has also prevented any possible reduction in price; and does he propose at an early date to remedy these failings?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI have made inquiries and ascertained that the Electricity Commissioners are not aware of any instance of refusal or delay of the nature referred to by the hon. Member. If he has any specific ease in mind, I should be glad if he would give me particulars.
