§ Commodore KINGNo form of statistics suitable for publication can be devised which meets exactly all the purposes for which statistics relating to the coal industry are used. As recently as February, 1927, the Advisory Committee for the Coal Industry, on which both owners and miners are represented, reconsidered this question and decided that the present classification is the most suitable when all considerations are taken into account. I do not propose, therefore, to alter the present classification, but I will send the information to the hon. Member.
