§ Mr. DAYasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the remarks of the coroner at a Kensington inquest on Mrs. Ida Mary Gropper, in which he stated that he was strongly of the opinion that legislation should be introduced for the purpose of restricting the import of the French hypnotic drug known as dial; and whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSYes, Sir. The question of the need for further restrictions in the case of certain kinds of drugs has been brought before the Inter-departmental Committee which has been examining the law relating to poisons.
