§ Mr. AMMONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport whether he is aware that, in the United States and Canada and in some parts of Britain, legislation or regulations are in force to prevent overtaking vehicular traffic passing standing tramcars engaged in setting down or picking up passengers; and whether, with a view to minimising street accidents, he will introduce similar legislation for this country?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI am aware that regulations somewhat of the nature stated exist in certain places in the United States and elsewhere. With regard to the latter part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to my reply to a question which he asked on this subject on the 20th February.
