§ Mr. POTTSasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the total exports and values for the years 1925, 1926 and 1927 have fallen heavily below the year 1924; and whether he can state the cause of such fall?
§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERThe fall in the declared values of British exports in 1927 compared with 1924 is more than accounted for by the reduction in the prices of the articles exported. Allowing for this reduction, the volume of British exports in 1927 was 2.3 per cent. greater than in 1924.
