asked the Minister of Labour the number of new Employment Exchanges at present under construction; and particulars of their positions and the cost of the building operations? Great Britain classified as belonging to the quarrying, etc., industries, recorded as unemployed at 21st May, 1928. Figures for June are not yet available.

I have been asked to answer this question on behalf of the First Commissioner of Works. The number of new Employment Exchange buildings at present actually under construction is 15. Their location and the estimated cost of constructional work on each scheme are as follow:
