HC Deb 21 June 1928 vol 218 cc1767-8W
Mr. T. GRIFFITHS

asked the Secretary of State for Air if his attention has been drawn to the case of Servant-Major T. Reddock, carpenter-rigger, Group I, Royal Air Force, Manston, Kent, who re-engaged to complete 21 years' service for pension, which period of service would have terminated on 15th March, 1929; whether he is aware that the man was discharged in November, 1925, with less than 18 years' qualifying service; and if he can state the reason for this discharge prior to the termination of the period for which the man re-engaged, as Mr. Reddock is practically continuing his duties as civilian instructor at the same camp, his remuneration and pension combined being less that he received as a warrant officer, Class 1?

Sir S. HOARE

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for the Isle of Thanet (Mr. Harmsworth) on 5th March.
