§ Mr. LANSBURYasked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether, in view of the appointment of Sir Philip Hartog to serve on the subsidiary committee to advise the Simon Commission in regard to the educational progress in British India, and in view of Sir Philip's early departure from India, it is the intention of the Government to appoint a temporary successor to him on the Public Service Commission; and, if so, when the Government expects to be in a position to make an announcement regarding this temporary appointment?
