HC Deb 21 June 1928 vol 218 cc1774-5W
Mr. BUXTON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, having regard to the damage occasioned by earthquakes in Bulgaria, he is prepared to follow the example of the Yugoslav Government and recommend a Grant-in-aid for the relief of the distressed region or, alternately, to advise His Majesty's representative on the Inter-Allied Reparation Commission to agree to a postponement of the reparation payments due from Bulgaria.

Sir A. CHAMBERLAIN

I cannot do better than refer the right hon. Gentle- man to the reply given on 23rd May to the hon. Gentleman the Member for Bishop Auckland (Mr. Spoor), who asked a precisely similar question.
