HC Deb 21 June 1928 vol 218 c1770W
Mr. HORE-BELISHA

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he can see his way to amend the home dockyard regulations in connection with leave to classes who are not allowed leave with sick pay by deleting the restriction on broken periods of service, so that charge-men and others may have leave with pay after three years' total service?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

The three years qualifying service may already include two years made up of broken periods of not less than three months. It is not considered desirable to allow broken periods to be counted to a greater extent.
