HC Deb 18 June 1928 vol 218 c1424W
Mr. DAY

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what steps have been taken for the purpose of appointing the fifth appointment to the post of inspectorship in connection with the education of Kenya?

Mr. AMERY

The inspectorship referred to is for special work in connection with Indian education, and its holder should have, if possible, experience of India and a knowledge of Gujerati or Urdu. My Department is in consultation with the India Office and University Appointments Boards with a view to securing the services of a suitably qualified candidate.
