§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSA full review of the police requirements of the Metropolitan Police district was conducted by a Committee which I appointed for the purpose, and as the result of their recommendations the establishment of the force was augmented a year ago, and the divisional establishments were adjusted to meet existing needs. The whole situation will be considered periodically, and further augmentations made if and when occasion requires.
