THOMASasked the Minister of Transport, with regard to the inquiry which he ordered into the question of the extension of the western limit to which petrol may be brought up the Thames, why his Department has not yet announced his decision, although the inquiry concluded on 22nd February last and the verbatim reports were promptly issued; and whether, in view of the effect on the oil trade of the lower Thames and the importance of this matter to extensive interests, he will expedite the deliberations of his Department?
