HC Deb 09 July 1928 vol 219 c1865W
Mr. DAY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the First Commissioner of Works whether he is aware that during summer afternoons when Members are entertaining their friends on the Terrace, and it suddenly rains, congestion results owing to an attempt to find suitable accommodation for visitors in the building; and will he consider the advisability of the erection of an awning or the use of other suitable protection to enable Members and their friends to remain in comfort on the Terrace.

Sir V. HENDERSON

My noble Friend is having inquiries made to see if it is practicable to adopt the hon. Member's suggestion.
