§ Sir F. SYKESasked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the desire to give effect this year to the Government's decision to precede the discussions on the Estimates of the three fighting Services Departments by a discussion on the subject of defence treated as a whole, he will arrange for the Navy, Army and Air Force Estimates to be issued prior to such discussion?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI sympathise with the suggestion of my hon. and gallant Friend that the Estimates for the fighting Services should be published simultaneously. In practice, however, this is very difficult, but I will endeavour to arrange that they will be produced in future at a more uniform date.
