§ Colonel ASHLEYSix years ago the town council of South Queensferry applied to my Department for a grant towards the cost of forming a new road along the foreshore of the Firth of Forth on the north side of the Burgh. A 50 per cent. grant was offered from the Road Fund, but was not accepted by the town council. Since then I have heard no more of the project.
