§ Mr. BETTERTONThe average number of juveniles at present attending juvenile unemployment centres is? 158. I regret that figures are not available in the form indicated in the second part of the hon. Member's question, but I may say that since 1st April of this year 38,377 juveniles have passed through the centres, most of whom have left to enter 3227W employment. Included in this figure are 1,736 boys from the centres in the distressed mining areas who have been placed in work in other parts of the country.
