asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will give the years during which the average price of wheat has been between 40s. and 50s. for the last 50 years; and if he will give the average price of bread during that period, together with the average wages of agricultural labour?

The following table shows the years since 1878 in which the price of a quarter (504 lbs.) of British wheat has been between 40s. and 50s. together with the average price of wheat and bread in those years, and the average wages of ordinary agricultural labourers in England and Wales.
