asked the Secretary for Mines the number of tin mines in Great Britain and the Isle of Man which were in active working in November, 1928, with the number of men employed?

In the latest period for which particulars are available, namely, the quarter ended 30th September, 1928, there were 12 mines at which dressed tin ore was produced, employing 2,425 persons. In addition, there were 10 mines, employing 549 persons, at which development work was in progress.
