HC Deb 11 December 1928 vol 223 c1924W
Viscountess ASTOR

asked the Minister of Health what action is being taken towards the preservation of London's squares and enclosures, following the Report of the Royal Commission and pending the promised legislation on the subject?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have no power to take action in the matter pending legislation, and, as I informed the hon. Member for Gateshead (Mr. Beckett) on the 9th ultimo, I fear that legislation in the present Session is impracticable owing to pressure of other business.
