§ Lord E. PERCYIn all the important mining districts evening classes are being conducted either by the education authorities or, with their support, by voluntary bodies. I feel sure that the authorities concerned are alive to the benefits of this kind of education, especially in present circumstances, and that they require no encouragement from me to extend their provision where the demand exists.
