HC Deb 04 December 1928 vol 223 cc1041-2W
Mr. W. M. WATSON

asked the Minister of Pensions if he will have in- quiries made in the case of Mr. P. Eaton, inmate of St. Raphael's Home, 6, Blackford Avenue, Edinburgh, and the proposed discharge from that institution, on the ground that he is in receipt of 100 per cent, pension; and whether the pensioner is in need of treatment, and what is the present number of vacant beds in the institution?

Lieut.-Colonel STANLEY

I find on inquiry that the man in question is being discharged from St. Raphael's Home, not for the reason alleged in the question, but because he has been found, on medical examination, not to require institutional treatment. The number of vacant beds in this institution is eight.
