HC Deb 03 December 1928 vol 223 c850W
Mr. FORREST

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether he is aware that cloth of non-British origin and of poor quality, but bearing on the selvedge English wording such as supercloth is being offered for sale in Mexico; and whether, as many British cloth manufacturers weave in the selvedge their own name as a guarantee of the good quality of the product, there are any steps he can take in the matter?

Mr. H. WILLIAMS

I am not aware of the facts mentioned in the question, but if the hon. Member will send me full particulars of the case to which he refers, I will have it looked into.
