asked the Minister of Labour the percentage of insured work-people unemployed in the industry of iron and steel manufacture at the end of the month of March in the present year and at the corresponding dates in 1914, 1920, 1924 and 1927?

The percentage of insured workpeople in Great Britain classified as belonging to the iron and steel industries recorded as unemployed was 19.7 at 26th March, 1928, as compared with 15.2 at 21st March, 1927, and 16.1 at 24th March, 1924. Comparable figures for 1914 and 1920 are not available.
