§ Earl WINTERTONIn 1926 the average daily number of women employed underground was 28,496 in coal mines and 3,393 in other mines. As regards the last part of the question, I would refer to the replies given to the hon. and gallant Member for Central Hull (Lieut.-Commander Kenworthy) on 19th March.
