§ Sir K. WOODMy right hon. Friend has been in correspondence with the hoard of guardians over a considerable period in regard to the provision of isolation wards in their infirmary. The guardians have not, at present, seen their way to make this provision, and they decided recently after an investigation by a committee, to defer further consideration of the matter for six months. The question of the action to be taken is receiving my attention, and my right hon. Friend is obtaining a report on the present position from one of his medical officers.
