§ Captain A. HUDSONasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the danger to traffic on the Bath road caused by the two narrow gates at the entrances to Savernake Forest, both of which are situated on corners; and whether he can take any steps to have these gates widened or removed?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI recognise the inconvenience caused by these gates, about which correspondence has passed between my Department and the Wiltshire County Council, who are the responsible highway authority. No feasible solution of the difficulty has yet been found, but the matter is not being overlooked, and I am anxious to assist in bringing about some improvement of the existing conditions.
