§ Mr. GROVESasked the Minister of Health the origin and nature of the various stocks of seed vaccine from which the current supplies of lymph are obtained; and what steps are taken to secure that the seed vaccines are free from dangerous diseases?
§ Sir K. WOODAs regards the first part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which my right hon. Friend gave him on this subject on Thursday last. As regards the second part, the steps taken at the Government lymph establishment for this purpose are similar to the tests prescribed by the Therapeutic Substances Regulations, 1927, for vaccine lymph.
§ Mr. GROVESasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the lack of public information which exists with regard to the nature of the vaccine lymph issued by his Department; and whether he will arrange for the issue of a short explanatory leaflet on the subject, giving full particulars of the origin and nature of the vaccine used?
§ Sir K. WOODThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative, and my right hon. Friend sees no necessity for the issue of any such leaflet.
