HC Deb 22 November 1927 vol 210 c1632W
Sir J. POWER

asked the President of the Board of Trade the export of United Kingdom goods for the nine months ended 30th September to British Possessions and foreign countries, respectively, distinguishing foodstuffs, raw materals, and manufactures, respectively?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

Owing to the cost involved, figures of our exports of foodstuffs, raw mateials and manufactured goods, respectively, to individual countries are compiled for calendar years only. Our total exports, however, in the first nine months of 1927 amounted to £518 millions, the amount consigned to British countries was £240 millions, and to foreign countries £278 millions.
