HC Deb 17 November 1927 vol 210 cc1143-4W
Miss WILKINSON

asked the Home Secretary whether in view of the hard-ship caused to many taximeter cabmen in London by the present reduced rates, he will reconsider his refusal to allow them to obtain additional revenue by displaying suitable advertisements inside their cabs?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

The question of the display of advertisements inside taxi-cabs is one of the matters which are being considered by the Committee appointed by me to advise me on the conditions of fitness for motor cabs. Until I am in possession of the views of the Committee I cannot reconsider my decision in this matter.
