HC Deb 17 November 1927 vol 210 c1143W
Mr. COMPTON

asked the Home Secretary if he has received a resolution from the Manchester Watch Committee relative to betting on greyhound racing; and what action he proposes to take in connection therewith?

Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS

I have received a resolution from the Watch Committee, but it was to be considered by the City Council, from whom I have not yet received any resolution. As at present advised, I do not propose to take any action. Questions of law are for the Courts.
