HC Deb 16 November 1927 vol 210 c1062W
Major BRAITHWAITE

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what amounts of money have been granted by the Trade Facilities Board for agricultural purposes; and if that Board will assist further sugar-beet factories?

Mr. SAMUEL

Guarantees have been given under the Trade Facilities Acts to loans for agricultural purposes in this country amounting to £2,237,000. The Acts expired on the 31st March last, and there is no power to give further guarantees.
