§ Colonel ASHLEYI regret that I am unable to furnish my hon. Friend with the information desired. The latest year for which complete figures of highway expenditure are available is 1924–25, and certain particulars as to the total expenditure for that year will be found in Appendix 13 of the Report on the Administration of the Road Fund for the year 1926–27. In paragraph 78 of that Report will also be found details of the amounts which have been approved for allocation, by way of grants from the Road Fund, to various purposes during the current financial year.
