Friend will find statistics of the gross income brought under review and the actual income assessed to tax in England and Wales in the year 1920–21 on page 116 of the sixty-fifth Report of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue (Command Paper 1780). Corresponding figures for the year 1926–27 are not vet available.
