HC Deb 15 November 1927 vol 210 cc854-5W
Mr. WHITELEY

asked the Secretary for Mines whether the Committee he appointed on the use of the guss and wheelless tubs in the Somerset coalfield has yet met to collect evidence; and when it is expected their report will be issued?

Colonel LANE FOX

I understand that the Committee has already taken a considerable amount of evidence, and has also visited a number of mines in Somerset, in order to collect information at first hand. With regard to the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave yesterday to the hon. Member for Springburn (Mr. Hardie).
