Govan Employment Exchange interviewed a number of men who were sent by Employment Exchanges outside Glasgow; that on Saturday, 5th November, a num- 385W ber of these men were given cards to obtain employment at the new Shieldhall Dock (No. 1), Govan; that there are between 40 and 50 unemployed men singing at the Govan Employment Exchange who have experience of this class of work; whether he can state the reason why they have been passed over by the Exchange; and whether he will make representations to the Govan Exchange that where suitable local men are available they will be given the opportunity of employment?
