§ Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTERThe only case of the kind in 1925, 1926 and 1927, is the case of the "Eastway" which foundered in October, 1926, 22 lives being lost. The Court of Inquiry, which reported on 22nd April, 1927, found that the conduct of the registered manager was blameworthy and culpable.
