Mr. GUINNESSYes, Sir; arising out of such representations an influential deputation of authorities and organisations interested in the purity of rivers was received by the Lord President of the Council, on behalf of the Prime Minister, on 15th February last. The2194W case submitted by the deputation is receiving most careful consideration by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health and myself with a view to evolving some practical scheme for overcoming the many difficulties surrounding the problem.
